DaBaby – RAIN RAIN

DaBaby RAIN RAIN

DaBaby has been relatively quiet in 2025 following the release of HOW TF IS THIS A MIXTAPE on September 27, 2024. He has contributed his vocals to DDG’s single from blame the chat titled “MOTION,” and has collaborated with Yung Miami and Big Boogie. Additionally, he has only one genuine solo track available on his YouTube channel, which is a freestyle.

However, it seems that the rapper from Ohio is preparing to return to album mode, starting with the track “RAIN RAIN.” He has been heavily teasing this song on his social media since mid-August. For some unknown reason, Instagram removed one of his posts last month regarding “RAIN RAIN.”

Rather than completely withdrawing from the platform, DaBaby utilized this incident as motivation for his promotional efforts. “@instagram took my post down out of nowhere. No explanation or anything, they must know this album is dangerous.”

He has not shared any specifics about the project, but with “RAIN RAIN” now released, we anticipate hearing more from the North Carolina artist soon. In terms of the song’s quality, it stands out as one of his most captivating tracks in a while.

Accompanied by pitched-up vocals and a minimalistic beat, the KIRK rapper reflects on his environment, family, and relationships. He effectively incorporates the “Rain Rain Go Away” nursery rhyme into the chorus as he expresses a desire for all his life’s troubles to disappear.

This track offers a more somber experience compared to much of DaBaby’s previous work, but this is not necessarily a negative aspect. He has faced ongoing criticism for not taking risks in his music. Here, however, is a prime example of a successful experiment. Listen to “RAIN RAIN” below.
