Coi Leray is focusing on finding peace and keeping her life private as she moves forward. In a recent interview on “The Justin LaBoy Show,” she talked about a moment earlier this year when she claimed Trippie Redd cheated on her while she was pregnant. “I honestly wish I hadn’t made it public,” she confessed, saying that this choice “caused a lot more issues… especially with the father of my child,” and added that leaning on her close friends helped her through tough times.

She also mentioned how this experience is reflected in her music. In her song “Keep It” from the album What Happened to Forever? , Coi raps: “All the times I caught you cheating, I should have hurt you, but now you’re going to see this, it was meant to bring me peace, but it broke me apart. ” During her interview, she pointed out that her album, which came out just before Valentine’s Day, “truly explained everything that happened. ”

Looking beyond the news stories, Coi made her main goals clear. Even though she and Trippie “aren’t buddies,” she noted, “We’re co-parents,” highlighting that their conversations are all about their little girl. In terms of day-to-day parenting, they are still “figuring things out,” with their child mostly living with Coi for now, but she stressed she wants her daughter to have “a great relationship” with her dad.

After starting their relationship in 2019, Coi and Trippie got back together in 2024. They publicly confirmed they were dating in the fall and announced her pregnancy on January 1, 2025. A few weeks later, Coi claimed on social media that he had cheated. Trippie seemed to respond lightly with a message: “To every girl I ever wronged, I’ll do it again. ”

The interview also shared some personal updates. Coi said she’s “100% single” but is “talking to someone” she really likes, and emphasized that he’s a “regular,” low-key guy, not part of the industry. She highlighted that she doesn’t date for wealth, preferring a “rich mindset” and stability over fame. Artistically, she talked about improving her writing and melody process, noting that being a mom has made her more clear-headed and confident.
