Clipse, Pusha T & No Malice – Ace Trumpets

The Clipse gave us a preview of their upcoming fifth album, Let God Sort Em Out, with a hot teaser trailer, and now they’re offering the first listen with their new single “Ace Trumpets”.

It’s been over a decade since Pusha T and No Malice appeared on an official Clipse track, yet they seamlessly resume their previous form with even more compelling cocaine-inspired music. In his song “Ace Trumpets,” Pusha T reflects his fascination with the high-end lifestyle often associated with wealth.

No Malice maintains his calm, collected and meticulous approach on the track with the delivery of soon-to-be memorable lyrics. The Clipse recorded their reunion album in the Paris, France office of Louis Vuitton. “Ace Trumpets” is a release from the Roc Nation label.

The album’s release has been put back because the duo is still waiting for the features to be completed. According to trademark documents, it was reported in 2024 that the album may feature a verse from Kendrick Lamar. Pusha T was spotted backstage at Lamar’s Grand National Tour recently.

Pusha T appeared on Lamar’s notable “Control” verse, and the two artists previously collaborated on songs like “Nosetalgia.” Drake is a common enemy for both of them.

The single’s cover art pays homage to the duo’s previous collaboration with Kaws. The artist supervised the recording of Clipse’s fourth album, Til The Casket Drops, in the year 2009. The brothers’ comeback is scheduled for July 11, featuring 13 new songs produced exclusively by Pharrell Williams.
