Clipse And Pharrell Are Set To Join The Performer Lineup For The 2026 Grammy Awards

The Recording Academy has responded to fan feedback by announcing the first rap performers for the 2026 Grammy Awards. On Thursday, January 22, Clipse and Pharrell Williams were added to the lineup.

The duo is scheduled to perform at the Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles on February 1, with the ceremony being broadcast live on CBS and Paramount+. They are expected to showcase material from last year’s album Let God Sort Em Out, in addition to older favorites from Lord Willin’. The Grammys mentioned on social media that “anything can happen with this legendary link up.”

Other previously announced performers include Leon Thomas, who leads the 2026 nominations among R&B artists, along with KATSEYE, Sabrina Carpenter, Addison Rae, and Lola Young. More names are anticipated to be revealed later.

Clipse has been nominated for five Grammy Awards, including Album of the Year and Best Rap Album for Let God Sort Em Out. They are also nominated for Best Rap Performance for “Chains & Whips,” Best Rap Song for “The Birds Don’t Sing,” and Best Music Video for “So Be It.”

In a conversation with Billboard in 2025, Pusha T expressed that winning a Grammy would represent a “well-deserved full-circle moment” for Clipse, noting the significance of the Grammys as a high point in musical achievement. Malice echoed this sentiment, stating that it would be meaningful for the group.

Pharrell has also expressed interest in the performance of “The Birds Don’t Sing.” He mentioned that it was an important track for him, as it was dedicated to the late parents of Pusha T and Malice.

It has been a significant period since a rap artist won the Album of the Year award, and in February, Clipse, Kendrick Lamar, or Tyler, The Creator may have the opportunity to change that after more than two decades. The outcome will be revealed next month.
