South African music producer Chymamusique has made a statement after narrowly surviving a devastating accident that resulted in the death of fellow musician DJ Poizen and a number of others.

Chymamusique updated fans on his recovery journey via social media on Monday.

It has been confirmed that he has been moved from the intensive care unit but is still a patient in the hospital, having undergone several operations.

“Chymamusique has been discharged from the ICU and is currently recovering, having undergone 4 successful operations with 1 still pending.” Remains in hospital until further instructions are received. He expressed gratitude for the prayers and support received during the most difficult periods, RIP Caven, RIP family of 4.

The producer’s message has elicited an outpouring of support from fans and colleagues in the music industry, who continue to wish him strength and a speedy recovery.
