Chris Brown, the renowned American singer, songwriter, and dancer, recently revealed why he will remember Wizkid forever.
In a candid interview, Brown explained how the award-winning Nigerian singer left a lasting impression on him through an unforgettable act of kindness. In 2021, Wizkid forever etched his name in history by selling out the O2 Arena in London three times, each in just thirteen minutes. At one of these sold-out events, Wizkid brought Chris Brown on stage for his first U.K. performance in a decade. Due to legal troubles stemming from his 2009 assault case, Brown had been banned from entering the U.K. since 2010, which prevented him from performing there for years. During the concert, Wizkid introduced Chris Brown to the London audience, saying,
“This is my brother for over 10 years,” to roaring cheers. He continued, “This is my guy, the first guy to ever show me love internationally. Tonight, this is his first time performing in London in more than 10 years. Now y’all make some noise for my f—ing brother. My real n—a! My dawg! Breezy!”
In a recent interview, Chris Brown shared that he would hold Wizkid forever in his heart due to this generous gesture. He expressed deep gratitude for being invited to perform at such a significant venue, especially after being unable to enter the U.K. for so long.
Brown explained,
“Wizkid invited me to my biggest stage in the U.K. in 10 years. I had been performing all around America and hadn’t gone to the U.K. for any show before. One day, Wiz called me and told me he was getting everything set for me to come to his O2 Arena concert. He paid for everything, and I was wowed. Wizkid forever is my brother for life.”
This heartfelt act solidified their bond, and Chris Brown made it clear that he would remember Wizkid forever for making his return to the U.K. possible.
