Cash Cobain may not be the most prominent name on Cardi B’s AM I THE DRAMA?, but he’s certainly no minor figure. On the night of Monday, September 15, the “Dunk Contest” rapper humorously responded to the internet’s curiosity about her after releasing the feature list for her highly anticipated second studio album.

“Who is Cash Cobain, exactly?” He joked on X that we’ll find out on the next episode of ‘Drag My Balls Z’. In another post made on Tuesday, September 16, the New York native stated, “You all don’t know who I am, I don’t know who you all are, but Cardi knows who I am.” One thing I can definitely say.

For those still unfamiliar, Cobain is primarily credited with originating sexy drill, a subgenre that artists such as Drake, J. Cole, and A Boogie Wit da Hoodie have all explored in recent years.

The rapper collaborated with Drizzy on “Calling For You” from For All The Dogs, alongside J. Cole joined him on last year’s “Grippy.” Fans may recognize his voice from the title track of Justin Bieber’s SWAG, a song that was released in July.

Before appearing on AM I THE DRAMA? this Friday (Sept. 19), Cobain had already created some pre-show drama. Artists set to collaborate with Cardi on her album include longtime partners such as Megan Thee Stallion, whose song “WAP” features on the LP, Summer Walker, Selena Gomez, Lizzo, and Kehlani. Tyla and Janet Jackson, who have never collaborated with the singer behind “Bodak Yellow” before, are also featured.

In addition to singles like “Outside,” “Imaginary Playerz,” and “Up,” Cardi hinted that there will be “three relationship songs” on the project. During a conversation with Kelly Rowland on Spotify, she disclosed that one of her songs is called “Man of Your Word,” whilst another is “Shower Tears,” which was recorded in 2022.

Cardi referenced a line from the song that reads, ‘How you texting b**ches from my bed? / All these tears, all these shower tears that I have shed.’ “I was extremely tearful, sweetheart.” She confirmed that the third song is called “What’s Going On?”
