Cardi B – Safe ft. Kehlani

Kehlani is the sole returning guest artist from Cardi B’s debut album to the highly anticipated album Am I The Offendr?. The new song, “Safe,” is often referred to by fans as “Ring 2.0,” which is a nod to the duo’s prior dramatic collaboration that ties in with the album’s theme. A music video for the song, which features model Don Benjamin, was made available with the new album on 19 September.

Following a highly successful summer for both artists, Kehlani’s hit song “Folded” propelled her to the top of the charts, while Cardi B dominated the season with her songs “Outside” and “Imaginary Players.” The Bronx rap star is on the verge of receiving another Grammy nomination for Am I The Drama.

Social media was flooded with excitement the moment the song was previewed. Two super talented women in a video left a fan impressed, who tweeted, “Keep working like you never faced pregnancy and heartbreak, Cardi – you’re a queen.”

Cardi B is aware of her actions, collaborating with Kehlani and inquiring ‘Am I the drama?’ The response is affirmative. It’s a culture that wouldn’t accept anything different.

Cardi’s new album features notable artists like Janet Jackson, Summer Walker, Selena Gomez, and others, including Kehlani. The 23-song album includes previous hits along with promising B-sides like “WAP,” “Up,” and “Bodega Baddie.”
