The numbers have come in for Cardi B’s AM I THE DRAMA. Following her second consecutive No. score on Sunday, September 28. The “Pretty & Petty” rapper, who ranked 1 on the Billboard 200 chart, used social media to celebrate this milestone with her fans.

She expressed her gratitude to everyone who had supported her album, which had a successful debut of 200,000 album-equivalent units. The artist stated that two weeks prior, the album was forecasted to sell 115,000 copies based on tracks ‘Outside’ and ‘Imaginary Playerz,’ and she was unsure of the actual result.

The Grammy-winning rapper continued, “I haven’t released an album in seven years and haven’t put out nearly as much music in the last year, but we’ve just exceeded all our expectations.” We appreciate everyone who listened to the album, created a video for the songs, and all of that. The encouragement you showed in my music really helped to boost my confidence and motivated me to keep going.

In the near future, Cardi stated that she is eagerly anticipating the opportunity to connect with her fans during her impending “Little Miss Drama Tour,” which is scheduled to commence in February. “The soon-to-be mother of four jokingly said they can’t pop any champagne but are willing to open cranberry juice instead!”

According to Billboard, 110,000 units from AM I THE DRAMA? were generated through on-demand streams, with an additional 88,000 units being pure sales. It’s worth noting that Cardi released at least two dozen different versions of the project, comprising nine distinctive CD covers, 11 vinyl variations, and eight deluxe CD box sets, both before and after its release.

Unsurprisingly, “AM I THE DRAMA?” also recorded the largest sales week for a female rapper’s album in 2025, a record it will probably maintain for the remainder of the year. GloRilla’s GLORIOUS album topped the charts in 2024 with 69,000 units sold.
