Cardi B was attempting to caution everyone about the consequences that would follow if Donald Trump regained the presidency. The rapper addressed the issue on Saturday, October 18, that millions of Americans may lose access to SNAP, formerly known as food stamps, just before Thanksgiving.

Individuals are objecting to the removal of food stamp benefits. As Cardi pointed out on X Spaces, Thanksgiving is due next month. Notably, the One Big Beautiful Bill Act that Trump signed in July aims to decrease SNAP funding by approximately $187 billion between 2025 and 2034.

At present, more than 42 million individuals are in danger of losing food aid due to the government shutdown which began on October 1. “No turkey for some of you all,” the “Magnet” rapper added. “Very interesting.”

“These are the kinds of things I was trying to caution you about, which I predicted would occur in the Trump administration, but you chose to disregard.” Continuing, Cardi said that all of y’all cared about is that I called them ‘Shrump’. She then elaborated on how taxes and tariffs have driven up the cost of virtually everything.

Cardi illustrated her point by recalling an instance where she had to pay a $15,000 shipping charge to transport a piece of furniture from Italy to the United States. “Prices are increasing across the board, from affordable brands like Fashion Nova and SHEIN to high-end labels such as Chanel, due to the high cost of tariffs.”

The mother of four, who is soon to become a parent, later responded to the speech she delivered at Kamala Harris’ campaign rally in Milwaukee last year. “My teleprompter failed, thankfully I had written down my speech on my phone, but whatever I said, I meant it.” “To this day, people are still trying to be humorous by using that material against me.”

Surprisingly, she said, “But guess what?” What I meant is that saying ‘Shrump’ is less significant than what I’m implying, and now that you people no longer have food stamps, Thanksgiving is just around the corner.
