Candy Bleakz Reports Being Robbed In Cape Town

Nigerian singer Blessing Akiode Mariam, known as Candy Bleakz, has raised concerns after a video emerged online showing her shortly after she was reportedly robbed in Cape Town, South Africa.

In the video, the music artist appeared shaken as she described how her belongings were taken, despite the presence of security personnel nearby. Candy Bleakz expressed her frustration that the officers did not intervene, even though she believed there were opportunities to apprehend the thief.

She mentioned that if a similar incident had occurred in Nigeria, the suspect would likely have been caught and her items recovered. Candy Bleakz noted that the suspects were still nearby at the time, yet no action was taken.

She disclosed that jewelry valued at approximately N10 million was stolen during the incident. The video also showed her with a visible injury on her face, which she later covered with a handkerchief as she continued to speak.

The occurrence has generated discussions online, with many fans expressing concern for her safety and advocating for improved protection for visitors and artists abroad.
