Beyoncé And Solange Attend Brandy And Monica's New Jersey Stop Of 'The Boy Is Mine Tour'

Brandy and Monica’s “The Boy Is Mine Tour” performance at Newark’s Prudential Center was noteworthy. On Friday night (Nov. 21), Beyoncé, Solange, and Patti LaBelle were among the attendees.

Monica shared photos and videos from the concert on Instagram, including clips of Kelly Rowland and LaBelle performing together, as well as a backstage moment with Beyoncé and Solange. In her post, Monica expressed, “Tonight was filled with homage and love. Our sister [Kelly Rowland] (who has been slaying nightly) brought out a true legend, [Patti LaBelle].”

She continued, “Kelly, you are a class act and the bond between you and Bey is admirable! You ladies and your family have always shown me genuine love. And [Solange], how I adore you. I love all three of you.”

During the show, Lola Brooke joined Monica’s set, energizing the audience with her performance of “Don’t Play With It.” Ne-Yo also contributed with smooth performances, including a rendition of “So Sick.”

Monica concluded by thanking Brandy for “another amazing night” and remarked on their long-standing collaboration: “Creating history together 27 years and counting! I’ve enjoyed watching the world celebrate your gift as you step further into your purpose!”

“The Boy Is Mine Tour” has attracted significant attention in its run since October. Earlier this month, Rihanna made a surprise appearance at the concert in Kia Forum, where Beyoncé and JAY-Z were present as well. Additionally, Kehlani acknowledged Brandy during an earlier performance after presenting her with applause during “Folded.”

“While you are here, I hope everyone gives you your flowers every single day of your life. You deserve it. Our vocal bible, our Black Cinderella, doing this since she was 15,” the Oakland native stated.
