International artist Bad Bunny has continued to expand his presence in the music industry. His entire catalog saw increased attention following his success at the Grammy Awards held on February 1.

Bad Bunny received the prestigious Album of the Year award for *DeBÍ TiRAR MáS FOToS*, surpassing strong competitors like Kendrick Lamar, Leon Thomas, Clipse, Sabrina Carpenter, and Lady Gaga. This win marked the first time a Spanish-language album achieved this honor.

At 31 years old, born Benito Antonio Martínez Ocasio, Bad Bunny utilized his acceptance speech to advocate for immigrants and criticized ICE. While accepting the Grammy Award for Best Música Urbana Album, he stated, “Before I say thanks to God, I’m going to say ICE out,” eliciting significant applause from the audience at the Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles.

Following his major wins, Bad Bunny’s music experienced a spike in streaming numbers. According to Billboard, he garnered nearly 36 million streams—an increase of 117%—the day after the awards. Additionally, he sold over 3,000 digital singles—up 591%—based on data from Luminate. While all six of his albums benefitted from this surge, the majority of sales and streams were directed toward *DeBÍ TiRAR MáS FOToS*, which was released in January 2025.

Notably, Bad Bunny did not perform at the Grammy event, although he expressed a desire to do so. His absence was reportedly due to contractual obligations, as he is scheduled to headline Apple Music’s Super Bowl Halftime Show on February 8.

During the awards, a light-hearted exchange occurred between Bad Bunny and host Trevor Noah. Noah recited a translated version of the title track “DtMF,” encouraging Bad Bunny to join in. He obliged by singing a line with a full band, much to the enjoyment of the audience and viewers.

Billboard noted that “DtMF” received the largest increase in streams after the event, nearly quadrupling its plays from the previous week. With the upcoming Super Bowl performance, increased exposure for Bad Bunny’s music is anticipated.
