“Growing up in Benin and Nigeria, it was two different vibes,” she stated, comparing Lagos’ dynamic environment to that of an international city. “Lagos is almost like New York.”

In contrast, she spoke about the more peaceful lifestyle in the Benin Republic, describing it as calming and grounding. “Benin Republic has more like a beach vibe. Everywhere is calm. Everybody is quiet. I can’t really put it into a few words — it’s made me who I am,” she articulated.

During her reflections on personal growth, Ayra Starr hinted at her future plans.

Discussing her objectives for the coming year, she said, “In 2026, I’m looking forward to learning how to cook more known Nigerian food, and my album, Amen.”
