Ari Lennox – Vacancy

Ari Lennox Vacancy

Ari Lennox might not be the busiest R&B singer right now, but that doesn’t mean she isn’t super talented or respected. Hailing from Washington D. C., she is really good at writing songs and sharing feelings and ideas in a creative way.

What really captivates listeners about her music is the subtlety that makes her songs feel so enchanting and alluring. A great example of her ability to set the mood is her song “Vacancy. ” The lyrics include lines like, “Moving in the bathtub, filling it up / Water spilled on the floor, made it a mess / Maybe you could use your tongue like a cap / Look into my eyes while I drink, it feels right. ”

The music behind her songs is also very impressive, thanks to legends Jermaine Dupri and Bryan-Michael Cox. The sound is stylish and enticing, with some hints of the 90s in the best possible way.

Ari’s singing is strong too, especially in the second half of the song. It pulls you into her experience and shows how much she wants someone to “fill this vacancy. ”

This is her second single of 2025, following her catchy track “Soft Girl Era,” which seemed to signal her move away from Dreamville. Both of these songs are being released by Interscope.

Hopefully, this means we won’t have to wait too long for her next album to come out. We haven’t heard much news about it, so we really hope this doesn’t delay any progress.
