Anu’s Mother Responds To The Adeleke Family’s Renewed Denial Of Paternity

Ayo Labinjoh, the mother of Anu Adeleke, who claims to be the daughter of Afrobeats star Davido, has responded to Dr. Adedeji Adeleke following his recent press conference where he dismissed the paternity allegation.

On Wednesday, the billionaire businessman and father of the singer denied the claim, stating that five DNA tests conducted between 2015 and 2020 indicated a 0.00% probability that Davido is Anu’s biological father. He also alleged that investigative journalist Kemi Olunloyo was managing Anu’s Instagram account and claimed that the Adeleke family had severed ties with her.

In a statement dated January 21, 2026, Labinjoh rejected many of these claims, especially those implying that her sister, Titi Labinjoh, had been in contact with Dr. Adeleke since the pandemic. She questioned the narrative suggesting that her family was attempting to extort money from the Adeleke household, describing the allegation as false and hurtful.

Labinjoh expressed disbelief over reports that her sister had been in contact with Dr. Adeleke since 2020, insisting that Titi only recently showed concern about the media attention surrounding Anu and its effects on her workplace. She emphasized that Anu, not her relatives, has been most affected by the controversy and dismissed suggestions of financial motivation from her family.

Labinjoh also addressed claims about the management of Anu’s social media presence and Kemi Olunloyo’s involvement. According to her, Olunloyo initially helped create Anu’s Instagram page in 2018 and transferred management to the family in 2019. She noted that the account remained inactive for several years due to Anu’s lack of social media engagement, before resuming activity in 2023 for Anu’s 10th birthday celebration.

She clarified that Anu currently resides with her grandmother, Mrs. Ropo Labinjoh, who occasionally posts videos on the account. Labinjoh stressed that Olunloyo no longer manages the account and has no ongoing communication with her sister.

In a message directed at Dr. Adeleke, Labinjoh criticized his decision to speak publicly on behalf of Davido, stating that the singer should address the matter personally. She denied claims of additional DNA tests conducted in 2020 and asserted that neither she nor Anu had met with Dr. Adeleke or Davido’s cousin, B-Red, during that time.

Labinjoh asserted that Anu has never met Davido or B-Red and challenged the Adeleke family to release the DNA test results they referred to. She also warned that any harm coming to her, her daughter, or her mother should be the responsibility of the Adeleke family.

Through her response, Labinjoh reaffirmed that Anu has had no direct contact with Davido or the mentioned family members, denied the existence of undisclosed DNA tests, and reiterated her family’s management of Anu’s social media accounts amidst ongoing public debate.
