Album: DJ MOSCOW – Amaphutha

DJ MOSCOW Amaphutha Album 1

DJ Moscow’s Amaphutha is an eclectic, hard-hitting piano album that highlights his versatility, ranging from bass-heavy tracks to smooth vocal cuts. The word Amaphutha, which translates to “mistakes” in isiZulu, implies introspection, but the album is more a reflection on growth, evolution, and redemption through music.

DJ Moscow recently appeared on Ngiyenzeni, featuring Mandy ZA, Msongi, and De Soul.

This project is heavily collaborative, involving artists such as Frank Mabeat, B33kay SA, Goitse Levati, Lokzin Keys, and many others, which contributes to its diverse identity — encompassing romantic piano tracks and gritty street anthems. The project combines soulful, melodic Amapiano with classic log drum drops and vocal singalongs, catering to both commercial listeners and genuine Piano enthusiasts.

At its best, Amaphutha feels like a soundtrack for navigating love, youth, and urban life, full of rhythm, sincerity, and emotion. DJ Moscow demonstrates once again that he’s not just a producer of hits, but a connoisseur of emotions through music.
