CowBoii THIS AINT AI DAYS AFTER AI Album

It isn’t A.I: This is the powerful, genre-blending debut album from South African artist CowBoii, out on June 27, 2025. Comprising 14 tracks and lasting over an hour and a half, this album is not only a collection of music—it’s a statement of personal identity, emotion, and sonic characteristics. In an era where artificial intelligence and algorithm-driven music prevail, this project stands out with a bold statement: it is unpolished, genuine, and deeply rooted in humanity.

Tycoon and MDU aka TRP made a recent appearance on S’hamba Nabo alongside Cowboii.

The album begins with emotionally grounded tracks such as “uThando Lunjena,” which features BitterSoul & Makhanj, where CowBoii pours his heart into verses about love, vulnerability, and the importance of emotional sincerity. Tracks such as “Sakhiwe,” featuring ShaunMusiq and Kabelo Sings, carry on this introspective theme, combining heartfelt narrative with ethereal Amapiano soundscapes that evoke a sense of both intimacy and universality.

As the project progresses, CowBoii transitions to high-energy, dance-ready territory with tracks such as “Mdantso Nyana” (featuring Leemckrazy & Macdeedozer) and “iZandla” (featuring DJ Maphorisa & Focalistic), showcasing his charismatic side through deep log-drum beats and memorable vocal hooks. These tracks demonstrate his versatility, showcasing not only his vocal skills but also his ability to complement and guide the rhythm.

The album is composed of multiple themes. The focus extends beyond music, encompassing identity in a digital age, being more than just numerical data, and preserving one’s essence in an environment prioritizing rapidity over meaningfulness. Tracks such as “Ubuwazi” and “Imibuzo” delve into more profound lyrical themes, including inner turmoil, perseverance, spirituality, and contemplation of one’s path following loss, growth, or transformation.
