Akon, famous for his hit song Lonely, expressed his high regard for Afrobeats musicians, specifically praising Burna Boy as a “beast” in the global music industry. Burna Boy’s distinct fusion of Nigerian and Ghanaian musical styles was commended by him, with credit given for his ability to differentiate himself from other artists. Akon credited his own influence on Burna Boy’s career, expressing gratitude to the past head of international at Konvict Music for his role in moulding the artist’s career trajectory.
Akon has referred to Wizkid as a highly successful artist who consistently produces one hit song annually that maintains its popularity over time.
