AKA’s Team Responds To Confusion Over A Fake Spotify Release

AKA

Supporters of the late rapper AKA were left perplexed when a track called Cocktail unexpectedly emerged on his Spotify profile, prompting concerns that the account might have been compromised.

The team behind the iconic musician has now clarified that there is no breach, but rather a weakness in the streaming system.

According to AKA’s management, shared by Vth A, the statement reads: “We have found these tracks primarily on Spotify, and we will address and remove them from other platforms if necessary.” The Spotify account’s profile has not been compromised.

One notable drawback with Spotify is that distribution services can distribute content to nearly any recommended profiles without any limitations. We are in contact with Spotify to inform us of any upcoming cases, enabling us to intercept them before they are broadcast live.

The enigmatic track is not an alias recording, and his team has already initiated the deletion process.

Viewers who track his music collection had rapidly identified the track online, posting images and advising others not to stream until further clarification was given.
