Tensions between GloRilla and Young Thug seem to have grown more intense, and this time, the rapper from Memphis might not hold back. Shortly after Young Thug apologized publicly for making negative comments about her during a leaked call from jail, GloRilla seems to have responded with a strong new diss track. This track didn’t just target the founder of Young Stoner Life Records; it also included his partner, R&B artist Mariah the Scientist.

The argument started earlier this month when a recording was shared of Young Thug making fun of GloRilla’s appearance, calling her “ugly as fk” and ridiculing her hair and face. On September 4, GloRilla appeared to respond on social media by saying, “By the way, [this is the] same guy who keeps texting me to ask what color my eyes are.”

Then, a little more than an hour later, Young Thug took back what he said on X. “First off, I want to apologize for my words. I truly don’t think you’re ugly at all. I was speaking from jail and going through a tough time,” he wrote. “I don’t like putting girls down and rarely ever do it. I’m sorry to you, twin. ”

About a week later, on Friday, September 12, clips of an unreleased diss track started to go around online. At the time of the report, neither GloRilla nor her team had confirmed if the song was real, but the lyrics were quite harsh. One line mentioned “Ms. Netta lookin’ a nga,” and another said, “I don’t care if he cheats, lookin’ a bch.” These lines are thought to be directed at Young Thug and Mariah the Scientist. If it’s real, the track represents the boldest reply so far in a conflict that’s already grabbed fans’ interest.

As Naijahomeland mentioned before, things seemed more relaxed at the 2025 MTV Video Music Awards. Sexyy Red humorously wrote a caption for a video of herself and GloRilla from their encounter backstage, saying “Breaking news: Young Thug and Brianna, aka Briskee, make up.” GloRilla even joined in on the fun, commenting, “I’m happy we could move past [this]. ”
