A$AP Rocky And Rihanna Talk About Family Life And Other Topics During Their Appearance At The Gotham Awards

At the Gotham Film Awards on Monday (Dec. 1), A$AP Rocky and Rihanna spoke with Extra about their expanding family and the rapper’s recent endeavors in film, fashion, and music. Rihanna remarked on their newborn daughter, Rocki, and sons RZA and Riot, saying, “Oh, the babies are amazing. They’re all getting bigger and I cannot take it. Their faces are changing. Their necks are getting longer. I love it.” Rocky noted their surprise at how well the older two are getting along, considering their close ages.

Rihanna attended the event to support Rocky’s Breakout Actor nomination for his role in Spike Lee’s film, Highest 2 Lowest. Dressed in a custom silk Balenciaga outfit, she expressed her pride, stating, “Oh my God, I’m so proud of him. I am truly proud.” She reflected on watching him act, saying, “Every time I see him on camera in a movie, I’m like, ‘What?’” Rocky briefly replied, “I guess she’s used to seeing me in [the] dad role.”

Outside of acting, Rocky is broadening his influence in fashion. In late November, Chanel announced him as its newest brand ambassador. According to Rap-Up, artistic director Matthieu Blazy commended him for infusing “heart and soul” into every project and noted his versatility in various creative domains. Rocky acknowledged that Blazy’s vision “is pushing fashion forward” and described his designs as “grounded in reality” while also sparking curiosity. Their previous collaborations include a photography series focused on fatherhood during Blazy’s time at Bottega Veneta. Rocky also stars alongside Margaret Qualley in a short film related to Chanel’s 2026 collection, which was featured in a show in New York City.

Moreover, Rocky discussed the status of his long-awaited album DON’T BE DUMB in a recent Vogue interview, stating that it is scheduled for release this year. However, shortly after, he launched humorously-themed “Album Never Dropping” merchandise, adding further speculation about the project’s timeline.
