A$AP Rocky has released his new album, Don’t Be Dumb, which many fans have eagerly anticipated. Among the tracks, there has been significant discussion regarding one song, “STOLE YA FLOW,” which some speculate may be directed at Drake.

Before the album’s release on January 16, Rocky was questioned about whether the song contained lyrics specifically referencing Drake. The song starts with the line, “First you stole my flow, so I stole yo’ b**ch.” It continues with, “N**gas getting BBLs / Lucky we don’t body shame / Throwing dirt on Rocky name / Turn around and copy game.”

The lyrics can be associated with Drake, who previously had a romantic relationship with Rihanna, Rocky’s partner and mother of his children. During Drake’s past conflicts with Kendrick Lamar and Metro Boomin, he was humorously referred to as “BBL Drizzy” amid rumors regarding body enhancements.

In an interview with the New York Times’ “Popcast” podcast on January 15, Rocky did not explicitly confirm that the lyrics were about Drake but also did not deny it. He acknowledged that listeners would likely interpret the lines as being directed at Drake and provided context regarding his changing relationship with him. Rocky noted, “I mean, I don’t know. I started seeing people who started out as friends become foes. [It] seemed like they were unhappy for me and just started sending shots. And I think that’s what led to any of our misunderstandings, or whatever the case is. So, it really ain’t smoke.”

When asked whether the lyrics were intended for Drake, his response was vague. “It’s for whoever feels like it’s about them,” he said, suggesting that if Drake perceives it personally, that might be the case.
