Jim Jones – Summer Where You Been At

Jim Jones Summer Where You Been At

Jim Jones is leveraging the warmer months to create a song about flings that he is optimistic will regain popularity. The single is called “Summer Where You Been At” and it includes a notable sample of DJ Jazzy Jeff & The Fresh Prince’s well-known song “Summertime.” It has been adapted in a style reminiscent of former Diplomats MC with a New York influence.

It appears Capo has been monitoring this woman for an extended period. Within a brief period, he still succeeds in painting a vivid picture of her location and the extent of his obsession. In the final moments of the track, they eventually come together again at a barbecue.

Summer has no future with Jones, yet she still harbors love for him. She genuinely wishes him success and is supporting him regardless of the path he chooses to take. The conclusion is tinged with a mix of emotions as Jones looks forward to some point in receiving a response from her.

This is an enjoyable storytelling cut and a very impressive one, especially when you consider the amount of time he allowed himself to work with. Fortunately, “Summer Where You Been At” is being used as a single for an upcoming EP.

On his Instagram, he writes, “The new EP ‘Before The Summer Ends’ is dropping before the summer ends, it’s inspired by Harlem and set in NYC.” Although he didn’t state a release date, it’s likely the product will be available before September 22.

If he decides to release it on the final day of summer, it will arrive on a Monday.

In 2025, Jim Jones has already released an album called At the Church Steps in February. A deluxe edition adding 14 more tracks was released shortly after on March 7.
