In an exclusive interview with Home Grown radio in Los Angeles, Burna Boy revealed that Nigerians are hypocrites and their hypocrisy is making it difficult for the weed to be legalised. According to him, they act like it is taboo to smoke weed when they actually do it in secret.
Burna also said that misconception is another reason why Weed hasn’t been legalized in Nigeria. According to him, old folks has put ideas in the head of young people that they will go mad if they smoke weed.
“It’s not a zero-tolerance. It’s like everybody does it, but no one wants to be the one that is seen with it. It’s just kind of hypocritical out there. Everybody smokes weed…”
“It’s like some dumb shit, bro. You know those old shit when they talk about it frying your brains. They try to make it seem like if you smoke it, you will go mad. But Right now, everybody is relaxed, everybody does it, and everybody knows that. It’s just a topic no one wants to talk about.? No one wants to talk about it; everybody is cool. Nobody wants to make it a thing”,
he said.
Burna Boy added that weed is the only reason he likes coming to Los Angeles. According to him, weed is free in the city and the people don’t pretend about smoking it as Nigerians do.
