Nigerian singer Tems recently appeared on the BBC 1Xtra show to talk about her new song “Me & U.”
She said that she made the song just two days after shooting the video for her hit single “Essence.”
Tems also revealed that “Me & U” was actually created in 2021 as a freestyle. She said that the whole song and video for “Me & U” was just all about God being with her from when she was a child till her adulthood.
“I wanted to make a song about my journey with God,” Tems said. “I wanted to share how He’s been with me every step of the way, from when I was a little girl to now that I’m an adult.”
