“I Met Him In 2019” – Tems Recounts How She Met Wizkid

Tems has finally revealed how she met Afrobeat pop star Wizkid.

Temilade Openiyi, better known as Tems has been making headlines for a while now and of course, making history. Tons of people have attributed her success to the “Wizkid effect” after he featured her in his previous album, Made In Lagos on the song “Essence“.

It is, however, clear that Tem is such a force to reckon with on her own. Nonetheless, fans want to know how they met. While speaking with her fans via Twitter Space, she was asked how she and Wizkid had met.

In her words:

“I met WIzkid in Lagos in 2019. Try me was going off and I was doing different shows in December. I did one in Eko hotel, I think it was rhythm unplugged. So that’s how I met wizkid.”
