Nigerian rapper and singer, Bright Goya, popularly known as Goya Menor, took a swipe at his colleague, Portable, after winning at the recently held Headies awards.
The prestigious award ceremony, which dominantly celebrates excellence in the Nigerian music industry and beyond, held its 15th edition on Sunday, September 4th, 2022, at the Cobb Energy Performing Arts Centre in Atlanta, Georgia, United States.
Because of the enormous success of his smash single “Ameno,” Goya Menor won the best street-hop artiste category, and controversial street-hop act Portable was not pleased.
Portable, who was disqualified after he initially bagged two nominations (best street-hop artist and rookie of the year) as a result of his alleged affiliation with the notorious criminal group “1 million boys” and also threatening the organisers of the award, took to the Instagram page after the award show to discredit Goya Menor’s win, claiming that he is not known in the slums.
Responding to Portable’s rant, Goya, via his Instagram page on Wednesday, September 7, 2022, slammed the Zazoo crooner, claiming that they are not in the same class. He wrote:
I wonder who’s comparing a B.Sc holder who almost made first class with someone who can’t even locate his Kg3 result, As da street hop holder, I gat class. You can never see dirty.
