Album: Pasuma – FUJI AFRO

Pasuma has introduced Fuji to a new audience with his album FUJI AFRO, which features 12 tracks including collaborations with Olamide, Qdot, and Terry Apala. In this project, the veteran artist maintains his signature Yoruba delivery while exploring new musical directions. The production, led by street-pop producer 2T UPONDEEBEATZ, allows Pasuma to experiment with sounds appealing to younger listeners.

One notable track is “IJO ALHAJI,” featuring Olamide. Their longstanding musical partnership adds an interesting layer to this collaboration, as Olamide is well-versed in indigenous Yoruba music, making their pairing logical.

Qdot contributes to the project with “UP UP WAY,” infusing his unique street sound. The closing track, “APALA FUJI,” features Terry Apala, which may interest fans of Apala music.

The album also includes several solo tracks. “FAAJA” serves as the opening number, while “PREMIUM” is one of the early releases preceding the full project. Other tracks in the album are “FUJI VIBEZ,” “PAYDAY,” “JAYE,” and “CORNERSTONE.”

For listeners familiar with My World, released in 2015, this new album may evoke memories of Pasuma’s earlier efforts to expand the reach of Fuji beyond its traditional fan base. That previous project also included collaborations with Olamide, Phyno, Tiwa Savage, and Patoranking.

FUJI AFRO, released under Wasbar Records, has a total runtime of about 33 minutes, and Pasuma also serves as the executive producer for this album.
