Album: Skepta – The Fork and Knife

Skepta has released The Fork and Knife, his first solo studio album since 2019’s Ignorance Is Bliss. This 15-track project was initially announced as Knife and Fork, with singles like “Gas Me Up (Diligent),” “Victory Lap,” “Innocent Smile,” and “Pandora’s Box” providing a preview of its sound. The album features a diverse lineup of guest artists, including Novelist, Project Pat, Finessekid, Asake on “Aloe Vera,” Aya Nakamura on “Chippie,” Central Cee and Jorja Smith on “Broken Hearts,” Suggs and Chase & Status on “Innocent Smile,” Fred again.. and PlaqueBoyMax on “Victory Lap,” as well as a grime cypher on “Belly.” Skepta has noted that the record became more personal as he reflected on his experiences as a child of immigrants, incorporating Nigerian British imagery in the artwork. After an extended promotional period, the complete album is now available.
