Album: Gaba Cannal – uYena, Pt. 2

As part of his three-part project, Gaba Cannal has released another disc from his uYena album series titled “uYena, Pt. 2.”

The Amapiano scene continues to benefit from its pioneers who actively contribute to the music. Many of these pioneers could opt to retire and rely on their past successes; however, doing so may lead to a decline in the genre’s authentic characteristics. As new artists enter the scene, they often introduce different styles and influences, which can sometimes stray from the original sound.

The presence of veterans like Gaba helps maintain and convey the authentic essence of Amapiano to newer generations. This ensures that even as the genre evolves—an expected aspect of music—it retains its fundamental qualities.

“uYena, Pt. 2” is a complete album that reflects the original sound of Amapiano. This release features five tracks and serves as a continuation of his three-part series, with plans for a third installment rumored for December.
