Naira Marley – Jaiye ft. Rexxie

Street-pop artist Naira Marley, who leads Marlian Music, has released a new single titled “Jaiye,” featuring Grammy-winning producer Rexxie. The term “Jaiye” is derived from Yoruba and relates to enjoying life. Rexxie not only produced the track but is also credited as a featured artist, marking his presence in two roles on this release. The collaboration between Naira Marley and Rexxie has a history.

Rexxie produced earlier tracks for Naira Marley, including “Soapy” and “Tesumole,” and is acknowledged for contributing to the Zanku sound. Their collaboration includes songs such as “Aye” and the Busiswa duet “Coming.” Rexxie also played a role in the production of the 2019 EP “Lord of Lamba,” indicating a partnership that spans several years.

This marks Naira Marley’s third official release in 2026. Prior to this, he collaborated with Kizz Daniel on “Ijoba.” While that track featured another artist, this latest release highlights the producer who has been instrumental in several of his past hits.

Rexxie’s recognition has grown since those initial collaborations, having won a Grammy for his work on Burna Boy’s “Twice As Tall” album, yet he continuously engages with Naira Marley in the studio. Few producers maintain such a consistent collaboration with a single artist.
