Diamond Platnumz, Xduppy, Dj Maphorisa, Focalistic, Uncool MC & Angekebabuye MC – Tse Monate

Collaborations between prominent African artists and local talents often produce compelling music, and the recent track “Tse Monate” by Diamond Platnumz, Xduppy, DJ Maphorisa, Focalistic, Uncool MC, and Angekebabuye MC exemplifies this trend.

For Amapiano to effectively influence the African music landscape, South African talents should collaborate with artists from other countries. The genre’s expansion in Nigeria, for instance, occurred when Nigerian artists began engaging with Amapiano, infusing it with their unique styles. Notable figures such as Asake, Burna Boy, and Wizkid played significant roles in promoting Amapiano throughout Nigeria, extending beyond Lagos.

In Tanzania, where Afrobeat and Afropop are still dominant, Amapiano’s growth hinges on local voices and artists teaming up with leading figures in the country. This is reflected in the collaboration of Xduppy, DJ Maphorisa, Focalistic, Uncool MC, and Angekebabuye MC with Diamond Platnumz in “Tse Monate.”

This track marks Diamond Platnumz’s previous ventures into Amapiano, but it is his first collaboration with prominent South African Amapiano artists. The outcome of this collaboration is noteworthy and showcases a strong musical synergy.
