Amapiano Producer Musa Msaro Has Passed Away

Musa Msaro, a prominent DJ and producer in the Amapiano genre, passed away in the early hours of October 3. Friends and colleagues have begun to pay tribute to him.

Msaro was known for his versatility in music curation. His Musical Exclusiv mixtape series, also referred to as AmaNomNom, featured a carefully chosen selection of Amapiano melodies. Over 39 episodes, the series catered to an audience that was increasingly seeking quality music, moving away from mixtapes and sets created by celebrities and influencers lacking in music curation knowledge.

His last scheduled appearance was at the Deep House Vs Piano All White Vs All Black event on October 3, 2026, which he will no longer attend.

Tributes for the Amapiano artist continue to emerge.
