Album: uDumakahle – Isithunzi Sakho

uDumakahle continues to showcase his talent for creating memorable Maskandi melodies. Today, he has released Disc 1 of his anticipated album, “Isithunzi Sakho.”

A few weeks ago, uDumakahle announced his plans for a double-disc album. The first disc was scheduled for release today, while the second disc is set to come out later in October. In accordance with his announcement, he has now delivered the first part of this well-crafted Maskandi collection, which features refreshing and engaging traditional rhythms.

This disc contains thirteen tracks that present a seamless blend of vibrant traditional rhythms, soul-soothing Zulu chants, and compelling storytelling, all intricately arranged in the signature Maskandi style that draws listeners in. It invites repeated listens.

Most of the songs are performed solely by Dumakahle, with the exception of “Imbali,” which features the vocals of Shwi noMtekhala. The tracks on this album explore themes of love, family, challenges, and more.
