Yeat – MISS MY DAWG ft. Drake

Yeat and Drake have collaborated again on “MISS MY DAWG,” a notable track from Yeat’s new COCOON EP. This marks their fourth official collaboration following “IDGAF,” “As We Speak,” and “DOG HOUSE.” Fans were given a preview when Drake showcased the song in his FOMO short film earlier this week, shortly before its release on streaming platforms. Despite its title, “MISS MY DAWG” carries a mix of tones. Drake approaches the chorus with a contemplative perspective, addressing themes of loss, memories, and the reality of saying goodbye to loved ones. In contrast, Yeat infuses his verse with a different vibe, focusing on topics such as women, money, drugs, and his signature boastful lyrics, while also revisiting the theme of missing those close to him.

This contrast enhances the song’s overall appeal. Drake provides an emotional foundation, while Yeat brings a lighter touch, ensuring the track remains balanced. With four collaborations completed, the two artists have clearly developed a method that allows their distinct styles to merge effectively.
