GoldMax – eZimbali

GoldMax achieved a significant milestone with his single “eZimbali,” which has gained considerable attention on radio platforms.

Since 2018, the influence of Gqom in the South African music scene has notably decreased. It no longer maintains the same dominance on the charts and airwaves, particularly after the rise of Amapiano, which has largely taken its place. However, Gqom continues to have a strong presence in its region of origin, particularly in the Western Cape.

Though Gqom’s popularity has waned in many areas, there are instances where a Gqom track resurfaces and achieves widespread acclaim. “eZimbali” by GoldMax is one such track.

Upon its debut on Ukhozi FM, it was evident that “eZimbali” would perform well on the charts. Since being added to the station’s playlist, it has become the most requested song, with significant engagement on social media platforms, particularly TikTok.

Notably, GoldMax both produced the beat and provided the vocals for “eZimbali.”
