Tycoon – uMoya 2.0

Tycoon has presented his interpretation of “uMoya,” a song originally performed by Darque, Zawadi Yamungu, and Atmos Blaq. Featured on Darque’s studio album, Open Your Eyes, the song has been a popular choice among many DJs, and Tycoon has now released an Amapiano version.

The remix culture in South Africa is robust. For Amapiano, remixes of well-known tracks have enhanced the genre’s visibility. Continuing this tradition, Tycoon has introduced “uMoya 2.0,” his remix of Darque’s latest hit. In this version, he maintains the unique styles of Zawadi Yamungu and Atmos Blaq while modernizing the production for a contemporary Amapiano sound, aided by Soulful Disciple.

The remix reinterprets this melodic House track, integrating Amapiano elements for various settings, which allows it to connect differently with younger audiences and at festivals.
