Album: Jhené Aiko – Westside Whimsy

Jhené Aiko has returned with her fourth studio album, titled Westside Whimsy, six years after the release of Chilombo. The 20-track project was announced just days before its September 11 release, despite being described by Jhené as “six years in the making.” The album features collaborations with artists such as Ab-Soul, Tyga, Larry June, Ohma, and Kendrick Lamar. Kendrick appears on the track “So Good,” marking their first collaboration in over a decade since their previous works “Growing Apart (To Get Closer)” and “Stay Ready (What a Life).” Interest in this release has been high on social media since her return was announced. Throughout the album, Jhené explores themes of love and authenticity.
