Dlala Thukzin & Funky Qla Refine Gqom – Maye ft. Kabza De Small, DJ Maphorisa & Thatohatsi

Dlala Thukzin and Funky Qla have collaborated with Kabza De Small, DJ Maphorisa, and Thatohatsi on their latest single, “Maye.”

The song features a blend of Amapiano and Gqom, a fusion that might not have been widely anticipated. However, the South African music landscape often presents surprising combinations. Dlala Thukzin and Funky Qla have produced a refreshing Gqom track that benefits from the contributions of prominent artists.

While listeners might expect the Amapiano artists to alter the song’s rhythm significantly, they actually maintain the Gqom essence established by Dlala Thukzin and Funky Qla, subtly integrating Amapiano elements to create a seamless combination of both styles.

Thatohatsi’s vocal performance is exceptional, showcasing her versatility and talent as a vocalist and songwriter. The track seems poised to succeed on both music charts and dancefloors.
