Album: ATK MusiQ – The Return

South African Amapiano collective ATK MusiQ has released their latest studio album, The Return, on July 29, 2026, marking their first full-length project in six years. This release represents a significant moment for the production team from Soweto as they continue to influence the evolving Amapiano genre.

The album is a 35-track double set, consisting of two distinct musical experiences. Disc A: For the Soul showcases the smooth sounds of Soulful Amapiano and Private School Piano, while Disc B: For the Streets features energetic club tracks with prominent log drums and infectious rhythms. The group views this album not merely as a nostalgic look back but as an extension of their artistic development since their early days in Diepkloof.

The album includes contributions from a range of artists, with notable vocal performances by LeeMcKrazy, Tman Xpress, Mpho Spizzy, Mkeyz, Soulful G, VocalKat, and Tee Tee SA. In terms of production, Muziqal Tone, Malemon, Mr Nation Thingz, and Snyper Reloaded enhance the album’s diverse musical landscape.

With its ambitious two-disc structure, notable collaborations, and true-to-form Amapiano production, The Return is positioned as one of the prominent releases in the genre for 2026 and highlights the impact of one of its leading groups.
