Wizkid Performs An Impressive Set At Afro Nation Portugal

Afrobeats artist Wizkid concluded the 2026 edition of Afro Nation Portugal with an impressive headline performance, wrapping up three memorable days of music that highlighted the global ascent of African sounds.

Performing on the festival’s last night, the Grammy-winning singer entertained thousands of fans with a setlist that included hits from various stages of his career.

From popular tracks like Kese to the internationally recognized Essence, Wizkid engaged the audience, reinforcing his status as one of Africa’s prominent live performers.

The closing night also featured American R&B artist Kehlani, who brought a soulful element to the festival finale, receiving enthusiastic applause from attendees in Portugal.

This year’s Afro Nation held particular significance for Nigerian music, with Burna Boy, Asake, and Wizkid as the three headline acts over the event’s three nights. Each artist presented lively performances that highlighted the strength and global appeal of Afrobeats on one of the genre’s most significant international platforms.

Nigerian representation extended beyond the headliners, with Olamide, Wande Coal, Blaqbonez, and Young Jonn delivering standout performances that further emphasized the country’s influence on the contemporary African music scene.

Artists from other regions of the continent also played important roles in the event. South African artist Tyla headlined the opening night, while Congolese music icon Awilo Longomba, Ugandan singer Joshua Baraka, and Ghanaian duo R2Bees contributed to a lineup that showcased the diversity and richness of African music.

By the end of Wizkid’s performance, Afro Nation Portugal had once again succeeded in bringing together some of the continent’s biggest stars, confirming its reputation as one of the leading global festivals dedicated to African music and culture.
