Pooh Shiesty Trial Date For Alleged Gucci Mane Robbery Delayed

The trial date for Pooh Shiesty, his father, Big30, and six other men accused of robbing Gucci Mane has been postponed until 2027.

On June 5, Senior United States District Judge David C. Godbey approved a request for a continuance in the trial.

The ruling noted that denying the request would prevent the defendants’ counsel from having reasonable time for effective preparation, considering the need for due diligence. The judge determined that a continuance of the duration granted by the order is necessary for effective preparation by defense counsel.

The trial was originally set to begin on July 6 but will now take place on February 22, 2027. A final pretrial conference is scheduled for February 17, 2027.

Pooh Shiesty, his father Lontrell Williams Sr., Big30, and six other co-defendants face federal robbery and kidnapping charges. Prosecutors allege that the men lured Gucci Mane to a recording studio in Dallas under the pretense of working on music. Instead, Pooh allegedly displayed an assault rifle and demanded that Gucci Mane sign a document releasing Pooh from his 1017 recording contract. Following this, Pooh and his associates are said to have robbed Gucci Mane and those with him of money, jewelry, and other valuables.

After their arrest in April, Pooh Shiesty remains incarcerated due to a denial of pre-trial release, while his father and Big30 have been released on bond before the trial.
