Tupac Shakur Features In New Video Game

Tupac Shakur is featured as a character in Sega’s upcoming video game, Stranger Than Heaven.

On June 5, Sega released the trailer for the game, revealing the late rapper as Amaru at the end. The character’s name references Tupac’s middle name, which is derived from the 18th-century Peruvian rebel Túpac Amaru II. His estate approved the use of his likeness.

Snoop Dogg announced the character’s inclusion at Summer Game Fest 2026. He mentioned that he, his son Cordell Broadus, and Tupac’s estate collaborated closely on the project, highlighting that Tupac’s “likeness and spirit still lives on.” Both Snoop and Cordell will also appear in the game.

Snoop commented, “It just made sense to put him in this game. I just feel like it was so connected to what we are doing.”

Stranger Than Heaven is an action-adventure crime drama that centers on Makoto Daito, a half-Japanese, half-American orphan seeking a home in Japan while dealing with crime, music, and his personal journey.

The game is set to be released on January 27, 2027, and will be available on PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.
