Mixtape: MGK & Wiz Khalifa – blog era boyz

MGK and Wiz Khalifa are revisiting their mixtape origins with “blog era boyz,” a collaborative project that comes over ten years after their first joint song, 2013’s “Mind of a Stoner.” This release signifies MGK’s notable return to rap after spending several years concentrating on pop punk albums, while Wiz reintroduces the relaxed stoner vibe that characterized the early 2010s blog era of hip-hop. The duo has previously collaborated on tracks like “Girl Next Door” and “Everything Tatted,” showcasing their nostalgic mixtape-era dynamic. Additionally, this project is launched alongside their touring together on the final leg of MGK’s Lost Americana Tour, creating a sense of completion for long-time fans.
