Nigerian singer Adekunle Gold has addressed the rumors surrounding his family, specifically the speculation that he and his wife, Simi, welcomed twins. These rumors have been circulating online for several months.

During an appearance on the Great Day Houston podcast, he discussed various aspects of his family life, his collaboration with Simi, and the latest phase of his Fuji-inspired music.

Adekunle Gold clarified the claims that have been circulating since early 2026, stating,

“My wife and I didn’t give birth to twins, it’s just internet rumours. We have a son.”

He also referenced the playful nature of the rumors, suggesting that the narrative may have been influenced by how he shared certain posts online in the past.

The speculation began in January when he posted a message on Snapchat saying, “Asked God for another child and He blessed me double.” This post gained significant attention, leading fans to conclude that they had welcomed twins.

Despite the ongoing speculation, neither Adekunle Gold nor Simi had confirmed the rumors until this interview.

Additionally, he spoke about his family dynamic, noting that Simi plays a crucial role as a creative partner in his work. He mentioned their daughter, Deja, showing early indications of musical talent.

The discussion took place during his ongoing Fuji Xtra era, where Adekunle Gold is exploring cultural sounds while navigating his family and artistic development.
