Nigerian singer Kunmie has brought out his debut extended play project titled “Before We Became Strangers.”
“Arike” was preceded by “Before We Became Strangers,” a four-song extended play.
The album begins with “I Admit,” a slow-burning admission that establishes the emotional foundation for the rest of the EP. Kunmie’s voice soars smoothly over a minimalist landscape.
“Majẹkajá” bursts with energetic vitality that strikingly contrasts with the contemplative mood of the preceding track.
This heartfelt ballad, the third track, is a poignant tribute to love and dedication. The song honours the value and significance of being cherished and appreciated.
The EP concludes with “One More Chance,” a poignant song whose melancholic melody echoes the fading warmth of a setting sun.
The Kazez and Pumba Mix are credited with being the creative driving forces behind the production of the tracks included on the “Before We Became Strangers” EP.
