Victoria Monét Dances Salsa With Jaylen Brown In A Surprise Appearance: ‘That Was So Fun!’

Victoria Monét is engaging in various activities while anticipation builds for her next album. On January 2, the singer of “On My Mama” shared a video of herself salsa dancing with Jaylen Brown.

The clip, taken from the NBA star’s Twitch stream, features Monét in a black dress, dancing to Willie Colón and Héctor Lavoe’s “Todo Tiene Su Final.” Brown twirled her with an outside turn and then performed a quick spin.

Monét responded to Brown’s move with excitement, and later, she took to her Instagram Stories to express her enjoyment, thanking Brown and dance instructor Raul Santiago for the experience.

Anyone familiar with her live performances knows that Monét is a skilled dancer. Many comments under Brown’s post noted the surprising sight of the Boston Celtics player attempting salsa. One user remarked on its randomness, while another pointed out Brown’s impressive game average.

Several comments suggested that they should participate in “Dancing with the Stars,” and one user complimented Monét’s diverse talents.

In an interview published by REVOLT that same day, Monét mentioned her strong support for dance and performance in the entertainment industry. She expressed appreciation for artists who dance and create memorable performances, while also acknowledging those who focus solely on singing, recognizing this as a significant aspect of Black artistic tradition.
