Beyoncé Reaches Billionaire Status Following Landmark ‘COWBOY CARTER’ Era

Beyoncé has reached billionaire status, with Forbes attributing this achievement to her strategic shift towards country music and a significant touring schedule in 2025. Among 22 billionaire entertainers identified by Forbes, almost half have attained this status in the last three years. This milestone makes her the fifth musician to become a billionaire, alongside Taylor Swift, Bruce Springsteen, Rihanna, and her husband, JAY-Z.

In 2023, her “Renaissance World Tour” generated nearly $600 million. The following year, she further expanded her career with the release of COWBOY CARTER, a country album that opened new commercial opportunities, complemented by a Christmas NFL halftime performance and a tour of the same name. Forbes labeled this tour as the most successful concert tour in country music history.

A significant factor in her financial success has been her ownership and control over her creative outputs. In 2010, she established Parkwood Entertainment, which manages and produces her music, documentaries, and concerts. This company covers much of the production costs, allowing her to benefit more from the revenue generated by large-scale touring.

The “Cowboy Carter Tour” catered to fans’ expectations with nearly three hours of performance, featuring elaborate elements such as a flying car and a golden mechanical bull, as well as guest appearances by JAY-Z, her children, and former Destiny’s Child bandmates. According to Forbes, organizing the tour involved more than 350 crew members, 100 semi-trucks of equipment, and eight 747 cargo planes to transport everything between locations. Instead of a traditional tour circuit, Beyoncé opted for a mini-residency format, performing in nine stadiums across the U.S. and Europe for a total of 32 shows.

Pollstar reported that the tour garnered over $400 million in ticket sales, while Forbes estimated an additional $50 million from merchandise. Including earnings from her catalog and sponsorships, Beyoncé was believed to have earned $148 million in 2025 before taxes. The year also saw a Netflix Christmas Day NFL halftime show, estimated to generate $50 million in earnings after production costs, alongside Levi’s commercials, which were projected to bring in about $10 million.
