Kehlani Makes Her Debut On “COLORS” With A Soulful Performance of “Folded”

Kehlani’s recent single, “Out The Window,” continues to perform well, while her fans remain engaged with June’s track, “Folded.” On December 22, the R&B artist appeared on “A COLORS SHOW” to perform the latter song.

Set against a burgundy backdrop, Kehlani presented the song’s lyrics accompanied by gentle guitar and rich strings. She expressed the song’s themes while dressed in leather. The lyrics convey a sense of commitment and the desire for sincerity in relationships.

In conjunction with the performance, the “COLORS” version of “Folded” was made available on streaming platforms, adding to the existing versions of the song. In addition to the original and a cappella version, she previously released the Folded Homage Pack, which features remixes by artists such as Toni Braxton, Brandy, and Mario.

“Folded” has received two nominations at the 2026 Grammy Awards for Best R&B Song and Best R&B Performance. It will compete against notable tracks including Summer Walker’s “Heart Of A Woman” and Chris Brown’s “It Depends.”

In a recent interview with Rolling Stone, Kehlani described the energy surrounding this nomination cycle as different from the previous year’s experience. She expressed concerns about the potential for public sentiment regarding nominations. “I just need to be focused on creating, honestly. That’s the biggest difference for sure,” she commented. “Folded” is anticipated to be included in Kehlani’s upcoming album, set for release in the spring, which will also feature Usher.
